1:1 Breathwork Coaching vs. Group Sessions

Group energy or individual support

How to find the right introduction to Breathwork .

If you are interested in Breathwork , you may be wondering how best to get started with this transformative practice. Should you opt for individual breath coaching or should you join a group session? Both approaches have their own benefits and can be helpful in different ways. In this blog post, I'd like to explain the differences and help you find the method that's right for you.

Breathwork Coaching: Individual support for your personal development

In 1:1 Breath Coaching , you and your issues take center stage. Together we explore your nervous system, your breathing patterns and strengthen your inner resources in a targeted way. You will be given tools to support you in everyday life - especially in challenging moments. For more self-regulation, clarity and connection with yourself.

Breath coaching goes far beyond conscious connected breathing. It includes a wide range of techniques that can help you gain deeper insights and a stronger connection to yourself. Conscious connected breathing is only one part of the whole session. You can also read more about the diversity of breathwork in my blog post Breath Work vs Breathwork.

Breathwork coaching is particularly recommended if you:

  • Have experienced serious shock traumas, such as sexual abuse or violence: Here, working with the breath requires a particularly mindful and careful approach, which is better guaranteed in an individual setting.

  • Taking strong medications such as antidepressants: These can have an impact on your emotional and physical response during a Breathwork. In a 1:1 coaching session, I can address these particularities individually and adapt the process accordingly.

Breathwork group sessions: consciousness expansion and connection in the community

In our breath journeys, conscious connected breathing is at the heart. The group energy creates a powerful field that carries you and supports you in diving deep into your own process. The connection to the other participants can be very healing and strengthen you in your process (especially if you sometimes have difficulty being yourself in groups).

However, it's important to remember that the energy of other people can also be distracting, especially if you have trouble setting boundaries. To counteract this, I keep the groups deliberately small and often lead the sessions together with my partner Rebecca. This way we can ensure that all participants receive the necessary support.

If you'd like to try this kind of community experience, you can find all the dates and register directly here.

Conclusion: Find your own path

Both methods – breathwork coaching and group sessions – offer unique advantages and can contribute to your personal development in different ways. It depends on what feels best for you. Maybe you'd like to start with one method and then add the other later? Or you might decide right away on a combination of both approaches to experience the best of both worlds.

Listen to your gut feeling and let your intuition guide you. I look forward to accompanying you on your breathwork path.
